Getting started

Discontinue is currently invite-only. The path from first contact to a working setup:

  1. Request access and verify your email.
  2. Create your account from the approval link.
  3. Pick a plan and complete checkout.
  4. Create your workspace.
  5. Connect your data and build your first report.

Request access

Go to discontinue.dev and request an invite: your name, company email, company name, and the systems you work with. You will receive a verification email; your request only reaches us after you confirm it. When a spot opens up, we approve the request and you receive a personal registration link by email.

Create your account

The registration link opens the account form with your name and email already filled in (the email is fixed to the address the invite was sent to). Choose a password of at least 8 characters. There is no separate confirmation step here; your address was already verified when you requested access.

Pick a plan

Before your workspace is created, you choose a plan. Two things are worth understanding at this point:

  • The plan is a flat monthly subscription that sets your capacity: how many workspaces, agents, and reports your account can hold, and how many report runs it can execute per month.
  • AI usage is not part of the plan. It is prepaid credit that chat and agent runs draw from. You start with 5 € of welcome credit, so nothing needs topping up on day one.

The full comparison is in Plans & AI credit. Payment runs through Stripe; after checkout you return to the setup flow automatically, and you can switch plans at any time later.

Create your workspace

Name your workspace, typically after your company, team, or site. You can rename it later. The workspace is created with you as its owner, and you land in the app, which opens in Chat.

Set up your workspace

Everything below happens inside the app, in any order.

Connect your data. Open Settings → Connections and connect the systems you want to work with. See Connections for the catalog and the per-system steps. Until a data source is connected, chat can only talk about the app itself.

Ask a first question. Open Chat and ask something concrete about your data. The answer is computed live, and the working steps are visible in the thread. This is the fastest way to confirm the connection works and to get a feel for what the AI can see.

Build your first report. On the Reports page, choose New report and describe what you want, or install one from Templates and adjust it. The builder assembles the report in front of you and runs it against live data before you save anything. Details in Reports.

Add a channel. Reports and agents deliver through channels: email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Telegram, or file drops. Set one up under Channels; each takes a minute or two. Details in Channels.

Invite your team. Open Settings → Members, enter an email, and pick a role. See Team & roles for what each role can do.
