Chat

Chat is the front door to the product: the place to ask questions about your data, and the place where reports and agents are built.

Asking questions

Ask in plain language. The AI discovers what your connected systems offer, queries them live at the moment you ask, and answers with tables, charts, and KPI rows inline where they help. Nothing is pre-computed: if a number changed in the source a minute ago, the answer reflects it.

  • Data comes from the systems connected in this workspace, plus the app itself. You can ask about your own reports, agents, channels, and activity ("which reports failed this week?") just like about business data.
  • Access to your source systems is read-only. Chat cannot change anything in them.
  • The working steps are visible in the thread, so you can see which sources an answer was computed from.

Building things from chat

When you ask for a report or an agent, chat hands the work to a specialized builder that runs live in the conversation. You see its progress as a card in the thread, step by step.

Reports. The builder explores your data, assembles the report, and renders it against live data. The result opens in a panel next to the conversation; save it when it looks right and it appears under Reports. Later edits ("add a comparison to last year") go through the same conversation and create a new version. See Reports.

Agents. The builder drafts the agent's configuration: trigger, data access, instructions, and notification rules. Review the draft and activate it to make it real. See Agents.

Chat can also navigate for you: asking about a specific report, agent, or setting opens the relevant screen in the side panel instead of describing it.

Conversations

  • Conversations are shared across the workspace. Every member sees the history and who started each conversation.
  • Titles are generated automatically from the first exchange.
  • One response runs at a time per conversation, and each turn has a hard time budget, so a stuck question fails fast instead of hanging.

Chat conversations use AI credit. Work done by the report and agent builders is included in the plan and does not draw credit.
